Michael Yelf Principal Mining Engineer
Michael Yelf has over 20 years’ experience in mining and mine planning – including 15 years in preparing feasibility study projects – with a focus on successful mining studies with complex ESG requirements. His broad range of expertise include mine planning and design, whole-of-mine optimisation to maximise long-term company value, and prefeasibility and feasibility studies, including pit limit optimisation, scheduling, equipment selection, costing and economic analysis.
He has prepared and run mining studies in all major commodities for projects globally and is passionate about supporting the future generation of Mining Professionals through his support of UNSW’s Mining Engineering program.
